Ice Cream
Craving an icy cold treat? Delicious ice cream can be made anywhere in just minutes with these five easy steps.

Ingredients:
• ½ Cup Milk
• 1 Tbsp. Sugar
• ¼ Tsp. Vanilla (or any flavor of your choice)

What you need:
• 6 Tbsp. Salt
• Pint size Ziplock freezer bag
• Quart size Ziplock bag

1. Add all of your ingredients into the pint size Ziplock freezer bag and zip shut.
2. Place the pint size bag into the quart size Ziplock bag.
3. Fill the quart size Ziplock bag half way with ice and add in the 6 tablespoons of salt and zip shut.
4. Toss, wave, whip and mix the bag for 5-10 minutes. Warning: The bag gets very cold!
5. Clear all of the salt off of the small bag, scoop out your ice cream and enjoy!
*Do not double the recipe or the ice cream will not freeze.

Just for kidsHow does the ice cream freeze?
In order for ice to melt, it has to absorb energy. In this recipe, the smaller bag full of ingredients absorbs the energy from both the ice and your hands. Adding salt to the ice lowers the freezing point. Since the salted ice and your hands make the ice colder than it was, your ice cream freezes!
