Camping in a recreation vehicle (RV) gives you freedoms you may not have when traveling by car and staying in hotels. Many RV travelers will tell you that one of the most enjoyable is the ability to bring the family pet along for the fun.
According to a survey conducted by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association, 48 percent of the nation's eight million RV owners travel with their pets, with dogs topping the list. Most campgrounds in Michigan are pet-friendly, and may even include pet-specific activities and events.
Bringing your pet along ensures that they get the same level of care, nutrition and exercise that they enjoy at home, and it eliminates the expense, hassle and worry of pet-sitters and kennels. But, most of all, your dog will enjoy walking campground trails, swimming in the lakes, meeting new friends ... and then retiring to their own (dog) bed at night.
Go RVing with your pet and enjoy your next vacation with the whole family!
