Keep your RV pest-free
Industry Members
You don’t have to share your RV with pests and vermin during your travels. With camping season beginning to take full swing, here are some products that may help you keep creepy crawlers out of your RV this year.
  • Mothballs: When storing, place mothballs inside of your RV to keep rodents out.
  • Peppermint oil: Use real peppermint oil (not the extract) or a peppermint plant to get rid of mice. The scent may be pleasant to you, but mice don’t find it appealing and will leave your RV.
  • Fabric softener dryer sheets: Placing fabric softener dryer sheets in the cupboards and compartments of your RV will keep mice away without the unpleasant odor of mothballs.
  • Traps: If you already have pests and vermin in your RV, you can lay traps to catch them. Glue traps and snap traps are good options.
  • Kitchen cleaner with bleach: Spread kitchen cleaner with bleach around the tires when camping in areas with a lot of ants to keep them away.
  • Expanding foam or silicone: Mice can get in the tiniest of holes. It’s important to inspect your RV for any open holes or gaps, and seal them up with expanding foam or silicone.
